Kokopelli

Kokopelli is a prehistoric deity depicted frequently in ancient rock
art, estimated to be over a 1,000 years old.
Found in the mountains, deserts and high plains of the Southwestern
States.
Frequently shown as a humpbacked flute player, this mystic being has
survived in recognizable form from ANASAZI times to the present.
There is an appealing & timeless quality about Kokopelli which
facinates everyone even in our modern tecnological age.

Ever since I've laid eyes on this little creature, I have fallen hope-
lessly in love.
Here are a few pics of the little flute player that I've appliqued on
a needle book, the other one is a case that can be used for reading
glasses.

Happy Easter to you all.

Let me introduce you to the Bunny clan, I made this bunch some-

time last year, and only decided to take a picture last Christmas (you

will see two glass angels in the background.

Although some of these rabbits are tiny, it is another fun project to do.

HAPPY EASTER TO YOU ALL ! !

All done !

There she is, all done.
This was great fun to do and I'm actually sorry that the job's
completed.
Strangely enough when I took these two pics, there was no glare
on the fabric - as I've said before, it's definately time for a new camera.

Almost there

Now I have completed both sides of the black crazy patchwork
bag, and so far I'm happy with the results.
What I'm not happy about is the glare I keep getting in every pic
I've taken so far - if I think of the time I've spent taking a good
pic, I could have started another project by now, yes, I'm grumbling
about my camera not playing fair!
Mr. CC's wants to get me another, so that I will be able to take real
close up pics.
OK! Enough grumbling for today, I'm off to do the rest of my sewing.

I've been slow in showing you how the black crazy patch

work bag for my friend is getting along, but while I'm still

busy with the final touches, let me show you the bag I made for

her just a little over a year ago.

Here is a pic of the back end. Here it is completed.

Black bag for my friend

Working on a crazy patchwork always gives me the opportunity to play
with all the wonderful colours of the rainbow, but this was indeed
a challenge for me when my friend asked if I could make
a crazy patchwork - with a colour combination of black, brown and
creme.
She also wants a little bit of gold or silver thrown in.
I think she took a fancy to my peacock but she really likes
the handmade roses.
Here is a pic of the top front of the bag.
This last week I've grabbed every opportunity to sit down and
sew, sew and sew some more, and
by doing so, I could finish the front side of the bag.

I do admire the sewing group of Ladies in America, they simply pack all
their goodies together and take off on a boat trip - or spend the week-end
away from home way up in the mountains, not only to escape the daily chores
and duties that binds us and leaves us with so little time to do the things or
hobbies of our choice, but to do nothing other than sew away!
